BUBBA WALLACE HONORING MILITARY VETERANS WITH HIS NEW PAINT SCHEME

Bubba Wallace's team 23XI Racing took on the U.S. Air Force as a primary sponsor for the No. 23 Toyota this season, and the partnership is paying off with an interesting new ride for the driver.

On Sunday, Bubba Wallace will step into a special version of his car that will honor military veterans with its new paint scheme.

The car features the design of the Flying Tigers - American pilots who helped fight against opposing forces in World War II.

Wallace's car will also feature the names of multiple Vietnam war veterans, and those same veterans will be featured in an Xfinity commercial that's set to debut during Sunday's race at Dover.

“They put their lives on the line for us to be able to race at Dover. So, it’s the least that I can do is to give back and give a good result," Wallace said in an interview with 5Goats.

“I think, one, it’s exciting to have the Air Force back,” Wallace said.

“To be a part of my career and the legacy we’re trying to build at 23XI. So I think that’s super humbling, very appreciative of that...

it’s just super cool to be able to kind of deliver on that standpoint and then to just be able to represent the Air Force.”

Wallace is still looking for his first win of the season, but 23XI is already set to send one driver to the postseason.

Tyler Reddick earned his first win of the season last week in a wild finish at Talladega, and now Wallace is looking to punch his own ticket with a victory.

Wallace is currently in 11th on points in the Cup Series, above the top 16 cutline for the playoffs. As the season enters the summer, he'll look to do even better through qualifying, practice and the races themselves.
